Epoch Updates & Book 4 Preview! on Artix Entertainment

Hey there heroes!

This week, the Epoch class is receiving the Lament Epoch variation, activated by the Voicecatcher artifact!

Lament Epoch shares its skillset with DragonByte Epoch.

You can obtain the Voicecatcher artifact from the bonus code obtained with the 2025 Calendar poster from HeroMart!

The Epoch class in general, along with Dragonbyte and Lament Epoch's skills have also been updated, details below!

Next up, an update on Book 4 preparations! Art is being arted, and story is being storied! While there are still details to be figured out, we should be able to start Book 4 releases very soon!

Now for the Epoch update details!

All Epoch versions:

Epoch Boost cooldown reduced to 10 from 14.
Epoch Hex cooldown reduced to 10 from 14.
Epoch Aim Boost effect increased to +50 Bonus from +40, and also now gives +25 Crit.
Epoch Power Hex effect increased to -20 Boost, up from -10, and also now gives -20 Crit.
Epoch Defense Hex now also affects Block/Parry/Dodge Defenses, and affects the monster immediately.
Epoch Defense Hex effect reduced to -40 Avd/Def, down from -50 Avd/Def.
Ultra Defense Hex effect increased to -80 Avd/Def, up from -75 Avd/Def.
Ultra Boost and Ultra Hex can now be used on the first turn of a double turn.
Laser Blades DoT effect has been changed to 100% damage from 66.7% + stat damage. DoT duration reduced to 4 turns from 5.
Slice (and version variatns) now inflict equal +Health to their -All effecs.
Combo 1/2/3 now change icons with progress.

Corrupted Doom/Timeless Destiny Epoch have received some changes as well:

Each point of Momentum now gives +5 Crit (max +45).
Aim Boost Overload effect now also provides +75 Crit
Boost Hex Overload effect increased to -70 Boost/Crit, up from -66 Boost.
Shockwave damage increased to 4 x 50% (200%) up from 4 x 43.72% (175%), effect changed to -20 Boost with a 200% DoT for 2 turns.
Timeshift CD reduced to 20 from 24.

Dragonbyte/Lament Epoch have received a bit of a rework. The distribution of their double turns has change significantly, exchanging direct upfront double turns for a more dynamic playstyle.

Dragonbyte/Lament now receive double turns from the following sources:

+1 At the start of combat
+1 from Ultra Boost
+1 from Fade
+1 from Ultra Hex
+1 from Combo 3
+1 from Hack
+2 from Overdrive

Although you can only perform on double turn each turn, extra double turns will be kept and used on subsequent turns. For example, if you use Fade, you will instantly use its double turn. If you then use Hack on that second turn, your next turn will be double.

Additionally, for Dragonbyte/Lament, the following adjustments have been made:

Ultra Boost cooldown reduced to 14, down from 19.
Ultra Hex cooldown reduced to 14, down from 19.
Fade now lasts for 2 turns.
Slice effect gives -10/15/20/25 All res, cooldown reduced to 12, down from 14.
Overdrive now gives +50 Bonus/Boost, +100 Crit, and +50% Crit damage, cooldown reduced to 16, down from 24.
Gunburst cooldown to 1, down from 3.
Hack cooldown increased to 14, up from 11, base damage increased to 4 x 75% (300%), up from 4 x 71.25% (285%).
