Greetings, heroes of Lore! Today we set our sights upon the mighty Ernhold, a player-made fortress carved from the very depths of Greenguard’s quarries on the Red Dragon Server.
Designed with inspiration from Gothic architecture IRL, this breathtaking stronghold is both a bastion of defense and a sanctuary of faith, built by the talented architects and fellow heroes Tercelian and Castarine.
The Ernhold, completed January 2025, is a towering example of meticulous craftsmanship, featuring high stone walls reinforced with flying buttresses, sharp spires that pierce the skies, and watchtowers that stand ever vigilant against threats.
The structure itself is divided into two major sections: the Ernhold Chapel and the Keep, linked by a grand bridge that symbolizes the unity of strength and devotion. Every arch, every towering pinnacle, and every stone placed in its foundation speaks to the skill and vision of its creators.
The Ernhold Chapel, with its spectacular stained-glass windows and vaulted ceilings, serves as a place of solace for weary adventurers and devout followers alike.
Meanwhile, the Keep stands as an unyielding bulwark, a testament to the indomitable will of those who call it home.
Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of the Ernhold is the mysterious blue rock formation upon which the chapel stands.
Theories run rampant regarding its origins… some whisper of ancient magic, while others claim it to be the remains of a celestial star that fell to the world of Lore. Regardless of its true nature, it has become a sacred relic within the Ernhold Chapel, its significance yet to be fully understood… but open to interpretation!
