2024 Year in Review on Artix Entertainment

Wow! What a Year for AQ3D!

Happy holidays heroes! I certainly don’t need to tell ~you~ this, but for the newcomers out there and all our returning players, this year has been an incredible journey filled with exciting updates, community contests, and insanely epic battles. From new game features to new Class updates to seasonal shenanigans and sooo many community contests, it has been an absolute blast adventuring alongside you in the lands of Lore – and in the real world, too!

As the year draws to an end (just like my youth 😭), let's take a moment to reflect on the amazing things we experienced together in AQ3D. 2024 was packed with so much exciting content, including the introduction of the new Oracle Classand the stellar Starlight Paladin class skin. We explored uncharted territories with the release of Azurecrest Island and the Deep Grotto, and no seaworthy sailor nor landlubber shall forget the Pirate vs Ninja War that took place on the Island of Titans. New game features were also aplenty, so let’s dive in and unpack the ambitious year 2024 absolutely was!

Looking Back at a Wonderful Year

Classes

We welcomed the powerful Oracle Class that bends fate to their will
The Starlight Paladin Class Skin unleashed the power of the stars with celestial valor
Doom Ninja and Doom Pirate Class Skins made landfall during the epic war
AoE Skill Updates to existing classes (Warrior, Pirate, and Ninja)
Numerous updates & improvements to Class abilities

New Features

The highly anticipated & critically acclaimed Sandbox Player Housinglaunched in March, allowing everyone to create their dream (or nightmarish) homes in Lore – the only limit is your imagination… and maybe that 5000 max item cap, lol!
Special shoutout to fellow player Save for that screenie up there (and yes, that's a helicopter made from sofas)
Multi-Build housing functionality to build with friends in real time
A revamped Skill System was just implemented, taking the Hotbar to new heights to include additional Skill Slots + a 2^nd Class Cross Skill
Spellforged Items give the wielder immense power… at a price
New Emotes: Deer Dance, Voiddiver Salute, Kneel and Search, No Kitty, Give Treat, and Chill Out
A massive player-requested… request… will hopefully arrive by end of the year. Y'all gonna freak fr
Coming soon: boundless color customization for hair, eyes, lips, stache, and skin (no longer stuck to preset color palate)

Gameplay Improvements

Level Cap increased to 50
Inventory Space expansion to… a lot
A Stat Overhaul gave leveling and proper stat distribution purpose again
Map Scaling was removed (except for special maps such as Mogloween and Frostval)
Faction Tracker lets you view your faction rank progress, see completion percentages, and fast travel to the NPC's map without needing the wiki

"Sounds" Like Fun

Audio filtering and trigger-able sounds for volumes (such as underwater and splash sounds)
New unique Travel Form sounds (such as the Tomb Rider or Legion Necromancer)
House items that play sound clips (such as the beach boombox)
Overhauled music and added ambient SFX to main zones Heartwood, Greenguard, Ashfall, Doomwood, etc)

New Maps

A beautiful new World Travel Map was unveiled
The grand opening of the Battleon Museum
Wiggly Whompa’s Wonderland for April Fool’s Day
In April, we journeyed to the Heartwood Grotto to aid the Voice of the Forest
The Deep Grotto in June and July, battling terrifying creatures and uncovering ancient secrets
Azurecrest Island in August, unveiling its mysteries and confronting formidable foes
In September, we entered the "HATch" with Hatrick, someone (or something) that is perhaps TOO obsessed with hats
An intense month-long Pirate vs Ninja War ending in October on the Island of Titans, culminating in epic battles, surprising twists, and lots of booty

Community Love

Throughout the year, we hosted a variety of contests that showcased the creativity of our amazing players, and the craziness of just how positively ~obsessed~ I am with giving away free Dragon Crystals, Treasure Chests, and Artix Points :p
