Thank you to everyone who helped make this new Artix Entertainment 2021 Calendar a success. Every pre-order has shipped! Woohoo! (Kudos to Stryche, Jongaar, and the shipping Moglins who worked over the weekend to make this happen.)

How about a little behind the scenes story time?

This year's ShadowScythe-themed Artix 2021 calendar was drawn and painted by Dioz. You may have guessed that when you saw inspring art style. His expressive characters and dramatic poses always convey a feeling. I love the giant Sepulchure looming over the battlefield.

But that is the part most people know. The next part... is just between you and I, OK?

This is the Secret Underground Lab's lobby. It is stacked full of boxes... which are full of shipping tubes. Sorta a box-ception. (Also, perfect for making Sneevil box fortresses.)

I was surprised that someone (spoiler: it was Stryche) put up our festively dark tree! Pretty heartwarming since no one is there... the entire team has been working remotely. Normally our tree is decorated with Moglin plushies and topped with a Face-hugger from Aliens. Who knows... there is still a little time left :D

In the Secret Underground Lab's HeroMart Chamber, we roll the calendars and guard them in these clear protective sleeves. Then we put them in the cardboard tubes.

Then we overflow a giant cart with all of the tubes, intentionally attempting to induce a look of horror on the face of our friend from the postal service when he comes to pick them up.

"Woah! That's a lot of posters!"

This is one of those things that most people never think of. We are on a first name basis with everyone from the folks that print the calendars to the drivers who work for the postal carriers.

As an indie studio it is a small, close world... and really about relationships. We are grateful to have so many great people help build and deliver these with us.

How do you "social distance" signatures for the Collector's Edition!?

This was one of the biggest challenges of this year's calendar. How can everyone sign anything if we are not meeting in person. Well, whoever thought of this was a genius...

"We sign the in-game item!"

In AdventureQuest 3D ( www.AQ3D.com ) we added this signed in-game shield and pet.

In AdventureQuest Worlds ( www.AQ.com ), you get an entire in-game house with a signed wall.

The Draconic Chronomancer was designed by Darkon. This has been a big year for this rising star artist! From his horrifying "Darkon's Madness" release in AQWorlds to all of his 3D creations, his hard work and creative art has been getting noticed by our video game community.

Oh, nearly forgot.

There is a poster on the backside of the calendar!

Like our previous Artix Poster Calendars, this one features a poster on the reverse side. This way, you can use the calendar side all of 2021. Then, at the end of the year, you can flip it over for a poster that you can use forever.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's calendar a reality. Gravelyn (pronounced "Grave-Lynn") is going to be a central character in 2021. She will be featured in AdventureQuest Worlds: Mobile, Dungeons & DoomKnights, her own Comic Book, and even AdventureQuest 3D. This calendar kicks off the return of the ShadowScythe.
